Wednesday 9th October 2013

Arrive Beijing Upon arrival at Beijing you will be met by an Abercrombie & Kent representative and transferred to the InterContinental Beijing Financial Street. Conveniently located to Tiananmen Square, Wangfujing and the Xidan Shopping Centre, the hotel will also be the base for many of the polo teams.  

Thursday 10th October 2013

Beijing sightseeing Today you will be met by your Abercrombie & Kent guide for a tour of the highlights of Beijing. The tour begins with a visit to the Summer Palace, where you can enjoy a boat ride on Lake Kunming. The Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden in the world. The sightseeing continues at the Forbidden City; centre of the Chinese world for nearly 500 years, the imperial palace remains the most complete and best preserved collection of ancient buildings in China. This is followed by a visit to the Hongqiao Market, a popular market for local shoppers and one of Beijing's best places to buy Chinese pearls. Take a walk past the fresh and dried foods, to the jewellers upstairs. Please note that lunch is not included.  

Friday 11th October 2013

Great Wall of China sighteeing Today you will visit the Great Wall at the Mutianyu site. Originally built to guard strategic passes to the plains on which Beijing is located, the magnificent vistas and solitary setting here evoke the grandeur and dazzling achievement of 5,000 years of Chinese civilization. It remains one of the great man-made wonders of the world. 

Saturday 12th October 2013

Beijing International Polo Open Tournament and British Polo Day China Today you will be transferred from the hotel to the Sunny Times Polo Club for the 2013 Beijing International Polo Open Tournament and British Polo Day China. 17.30hrs Prize giving 18.30hrs Great Wall Black Tie Gala at the Badaling Great Wall 21.30hrs Vehicles return to InterContinental Beijing Financial Street.

Sunday 13th October 2013 Depart Beijing.
